Every commission is different, so the final price will depend on the design, materials and level of detail. Bespoke commissions start from £300.

Sarah recommends allowing approximately 3–4 weeks for your piece to be created wherever possible.

Colour Consultations

Love an existing design but would like it in different colours? Sarah offers a dedicated colour consultation to explore suitable shades, source materials and coordinate the design with your outfit.

This is a paid service. Please enquire about the consultation fee before booking.

Bespoke Millinery FAQs

Our bespoke hire service starts from £200, while bespoke hats and headpieces made to purchase start from £300.

Prices vary depending on the design, materials and level of detail involved.

We can also customise existing designs from our collection, offering a more affordable way to create something individual to complement your outfit.

All prices are discussed and agreed before work begins.

We recommend allowing approximately 4–6 weeks for a bespoke commission, although this depends on the complexity of the design and availability of materials.

If you have a special occasion coming up sooner, please do get in touch, as shorter timescales may be possible.

Ideally, bring the outfit you plan to wear, along with any accessories such as shoes or a handbag. This allows us to consider the overall look, including colour, proportions and style.

If your outfit isn’t ready, photographs, fabric swatches or a link to the dress are absolutely fine for an initial consultation.

Absolutely! Creating a hat that beautifully complements your outfit is at the heart of our bespoke service.

We can work with fabric samples, carefully selected materials, hand-dyed feathers and bespoke trims to achieve the right colour combination. The aim isn’t always an exact match, but a design that brings the whole outfit together.

Yes. Many designs from our collection can be adapted with different trims, feathers, veiling or colours.

This can be a wonderful alternative to commissioning a completely new piece, particularly if you’ve found a shape you love.

The possibilities depend on the original design and the changes required.

Most bespoke commissions can be completed with one initial consultation and a final fitting or collection appointment.

During your first visit, we’ll explore different shapes, colours and designs to find something that suits both you and your outfit.

More complex designs may require an additional fitting.

Ideally, book your consultation 6–8 weeks before your event, particularly during the busy spring and summer wedding and racing season.

For Royal Ascot and other major events, we recommend getting in touch as early as possible.

If you’re working to a shorter deadline, please don’t hesitate to enquire.

Yes—we welcome purchase enquiries from clients worldwide. You can commission a bespoke hat or enquire about having a design from our Hat Hire collection recreated for you to own.

International delivery is quoted individually according to your destination and hat-box size. Any applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges are your responsibility.
